Everybody has a story to tell…this is mine…

Including my favorite books that has helped me out along my way, Dr. Valerie Saxton “How to feel good, all the time” and Lucinda Bassett “Attacking anxiety & depression”, as well as my favorite book that has helped me the most, the Bible. Reading not only entertains and exercises the mind, but has brought inner strength that has helped me with my Inner core, my soul, my spirit, and has helped heal my battle wounds that are deeply scarred and embedded in my heart.

My favorite body part to workout is my abs. They say the abdominals are the CORE STRENGTH of your whole body, that helps to keep you stable and balanced. Core exercises strengthen your core muscles, as well as your abs, back and pelvis. Strong core muscles make it easier to do physical activities. So working out weakened and damaged gut wrenching jelloed mush abused abdominals will help strengthen your crucial core and Improve your overall strength and balance of the rest of the body!!! Relating and combining these together has enriched my soul and well being, physically, mentally, as well as spiritually. I perform a variety of exercises while upside down on Gravity Boots. I originally started performing basic exercise stretches, as well as ab strengthening routines, both to help stretch and open up narrowing discs, as well as strengthening my core and Improveing lower back muscles. Eventually I started my, Focused Training Gravity Boot Workout, a series of unique cardio exercises that I perform while just hanging around in my gym ;) lol.
There are a variety of cardio exercises that I perform, useing them as conditioning exercises. Remaining calm and focused. I use Dynamic Tension while doing my Unique Gravity Boot Training exercises. That is pushing and resisting at the same time, which builds strength and speed, and Improves your concentration and focus. Also I do alot of stretch and hold. Stretching the barbells out, and holding them at various positions in a locked position, while maintaining a very calm and relaxed state of mind, with controlled movements, that glide freely and easily, breathing is Important, slowly Inhaling, taking deep breaths, hold and let go, bursting the air out through your mouth. The abdominals participate in the breathing proccess, especially during exhale, when they help force air out of the lungs by depressing the thorax.
It is a ZEN like state of mind. It is a spiritual healing for me, physically as well as mentally…

Weigh in @ 200 pounds My concentration & focus has improved & increased significantly!!! My thoughts are clear & crisp.I feel that I have made awesome progress in 5 months time, going from 230 pounds, donw to a lean 200. Although I did not consider myself ‘fat’ I was bulking during the winter months building mass. So taking off the 30 pounds, I sacrificed a little muscle mass in doing so. If you ever tried to lean down, slice and dice, proportion, define symetrically…as far as BodyBuilding goes, maintaining musclemass is quite a challenge… … I am looking forward to enhancing my progress further…
I was recently asked a question about pain.

Q. No no lol, PAIN, is weakness hurting the body! ‘Pain is weakness leaving the body’, when I read this, I never understood it? Pain is pain. It doesn’t seem to want to leave the body?

“I look at it this way, I am going to have my ailments no matter what. I have a choice on how I am going to deal and live with them. I can sit on my ass, whine and complain about my problems… or, I can live life doing what I enjoy and love to do!!!
I know this really dont make sense to thee average person. But, I will say that for me, the physical, and mental pain that I feel inside my body, the aches and pains…when I workout… it releases my pain and sorrow that I feel… to me… it is like a spiritual healing that overcomes, and enwhelmes me… I am brought to a sacred place… a feeling of peace and tranquility…very focused… realeases the endorphins in ones body that brings both spiritual, and physical healing. You see…working out is way more than just, “working out” to me… it is my life… I live it… I breath it…it is my passion ♥

NO-BETA Transformation Challenge. January 24, 2010.

In this video I use various clips from previous ones that I shot and created throughout my progress in 2009. Mixing it in with my final outcome at end of my challenge. Relating to the message in the song how I pushed through my adversaties and through my struggles, made my way… and I am now able to put it all together, ending this series of unusually different and pretty unique videos unveiling my story of a man and his struggles that has allways lived his life going against the grain of the assembly lined cookie cutter way of life… and how through my struggles, heartache and pain, I turned around these series of negative events in my life, only to use them as a positive example, I did not give in to the peer pressures of narrow minded negative first Impressioned feedback… and I created The Story and Struggles of PAPA BEAR, by incorperating the use of my Gravity Boots in making short video films, and in doing so won me the chance to appear in the upcoming LionsGate, Grindstone, in association with MovieSet.com MMA Movie ‘Beatdown’ !!!

When I uploaded my video entry for the MMA Movie Star’ Video Contest, at this point, I still did not know how to cut and slice my films. So I timed my shots, to make them work. I looked through my footage from previous videos, to see what I could make work. There were very strict rules and guidelines to follow for this contest, and knowing that I fudged my previous entries, I payed close attention. Some of the contest requirements were as follows… Contest Requirements: - Video must be between :30 and 2:00 - No nudity, swearing, real violence or blood - No background music, logos, or 3rd party video - All identifiable people must sign a release. So I carefully looked through my footage, trying to find clips that would not only work under the 2 minute limit, but would show creativity, talent and originality, as what the panel of judges were also looking for . As you view the first segment of my entry, I am skipping rope, I love to jump rope, and as you know it is popular with MMA fighters as well as boxers to develop the lungs and legs and improve coordination and footwork. The second segment is the element of surprise, lol. As I did not know that my son was actually taping me, as I laughed at the camera and said, ‘Are you video taping me’. as well as performing some basic stretch exercises, and Introducing my very unique, creative and original talent of hitting a heavy bag while upside down on Gravity Boots!!! Also at this point, I had already trained for several hours, because we were taking various takes for a new workout video. I was fatigued and over worked my workout. My body was screamin’ and as I dismount, my boot gets hung up a little on the bar. I successfully dismount, only to show good sportsmenship and honor with thumbs up and a smile!!! My third segment I am performing military pull ups, (while enforcing the Isometric tension), considered one of the largest mind game exercises, but Improves overall strength, and mental focus significantly, also showing the core strength of the abs as well as my determination and undying dedication to the sport!!! My last segment, just making it under the 2 minute time limit, I am under an old apple tree, and the apple you see me catch at the end of my entry clip, depicts the old’ saying, ‘The Apple Never Falls Far From The Tree.’ With me catching the apple, I know God is with me and I am successfully taking control of my life, I am focused and My Faith and Courage is Strong. I am not sure what direction my road is taking me, but I am content and I do know that I am on the right path…

I have spent a lifetime dedicated & committed to weight training, boxing, & mixed martial arts… I started as a young teen, I was a solid kid, with a little bit of chunk…lol… I have never lost my interest! Over the years it has evolved in an healthy habit/addiction! …like when ya just gotta have that cup of coffee/green tea!I just turned 43, I am so focused in everything I do, and have so much energy!!! I am a kid at heart ;) … Like Popeye needs his spinach…its in me blood…lol… The health and fitness benifits of looking and feeling good are priceless to me and is an addictive drug, It is my habitual habit, my hobby, my lifestyle, my life long passion… how could you not love it??? How could you not…
